Bishop's Charge: Meditate on Isaiah 61
Good afternoon Mount Pleasant!
I'm writing this between the 10:45 and Baptismal worship services ... Greetings from the Grand Fellowship Hall! Today Bishop Johnson told us to say "This is a new day and this is my time!"
He also instructed us to meditate on Isaiah 61 every day this week! Here is the link to this scripture online: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+61
The full passage will be in the comment section so that you can see it directly.
Bishop went through the following scriptures:
Isaiah 65:24
Romans 6:6
He also reminded us to really use Romans 6:11: Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Bishop's topic was "The Law of the Spirit as it connects to the Law of Faith." He said that the "Law of faith is spiritual power and action given to every child of God based on the Word of God."
There is much, much, much more! Like his points about your faith and the will of God, correct confession of faith, having what you believe, and corresponding actions! Get the CD to review.
This is by no means a substitution for the full message, but hopefully it will encourage you to go back through your notes and/or listen to the CD!
Remember all of the announcements for the month that are in the Ministry Update (newsletter) and on the website. God Bless You, it's time to get ready for the Baptismal Service!

Our charge for the week; meditate on this daily.
Isaiah 61
1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
4And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
5And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
7For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
8For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
9And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.
10I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
11For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
We are also told to meditate on Isaiah 65, verses 22 - 24 and the end of 25.
22
They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23
They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
24
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
25
... saith the LORD.
